| Strategic alliance... |
| |
The "International Council of Motorsport Sciences" and
"Stand 21" have just signed a five-year partnership based on a strategic alliance.
|
 |
This common synergy between ICMS and Stand 21 is made to improve safety, raise awareness, and better inform the international motorsport community on the real dangers faced by racing drivers. By providing the motorsport community with medical and scientific facts for over 40 years the innovations and technical improvements implemented by the FIA, the SFI, the SNELL and the various organizers have meant that many tragedies have been avoided. |

WHAT IS THE ICMS? |
The International Council of Motorsport Sciences is an association of medical, scientific, health and engineering professionals plus other involved persons concerned with the improvement in performance and safety within the motorsport field. Federations and organizers such as the FIA, NASCAR, NHRA (dragster), Baja 1000 SCORE (off road), SCTA (Land Speed Records, Bonneville salt flats) and organizations like the SNELL or the SFI have worked closely and for a long time with the ICMS and many of its members such as Terry Trammell, John Melvin, Steve Olvey,Professors Sid Watkins and Hugh Scully, to name but a few of them , who were pioneers in this field are now experts in motorsports safety.
